Holy wow. It has been far too long. The reason I've been so busy is because, this year, I am my chapter's Membership Vice President! This is good news for you sorority girls because I'll be posting recruitment things up here!
But for now, I'll post a few more sorority crafts :)
In my chapter, we make crafts for our kiddos that represent our four core values: Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty. I made this apron for my kiddo for her "labor" gift.
The results! :)
Other girls make different crafts for their kiddos, like paint brushes (adorbs), spatulas, hammers, and spoons. No one had made an apron before and it definitely fits my kiddo's personality, which is why I chose it :)
Good luck crafting!

OMG it's been a month. I'm so ashamed. Well anyways, I was kickin it with my boyfriend's mom and she showed me these amazing glue-on nails. I know I know, I was a little apprehensive at first, too. "Glue on nails? What am I, eight?" They are seriously the greatest discovery in the history of nails. (Well that's an exaggeration. But they're still the bomb dot com.) They're called Broadway Nails. I'm not sure if I'm the only girl who has never heard of these, but I glued them on in probably 10 minutes tops. They're as easy as the sticker nail polish things. They come in all different lengths and sizes, different colors, and all kinds of fun designs. The best part about them, in my opinion, is that they aren't as thick as acrylic nails. Oh, and they're significantly cheaper. They're at a bunch of different convenient stores and they can last a pretty long time. They're great if you're going out or to an event (or just for fun) because they take less time and precision that painting your own nails, and less time and money than getting a manicure! As a broke college student, a cheap and easy way to have pretty nails is a magnificent discovery. Just because I'm poor doesn't mean my nails have to look ugly. (I'm bad at painting my nails.)
But here is the kind I was given (from my boyfriend's mama).

And here is what they looked like! (Sorry, low res camera...)
Happy holidays :) Santa comes tonight! Haha.

I really need to get better at this blogging thing. If my major is going to be Electronic Media and Film, I should probably figure out this whole social media deal.
So I made all these awesome crafts for my kiddo (aka: "little"). But before I made them I had searched on the internet what kinds of crafts I could make her, but I couldn't really find anything! These are just a few things that I made for my kiddo (little, whatever.) and anyone in any sorority can make these for their kiddos or littles :)
This is our family tree! It was fairly easy to make. I bought the plaque of wood, the rhinestone stickers, the lip stickers, and the paint at Michael's. When you go to Michael's, always look for what's on sale. ALWAYS! Crafting can get pricey.
Just a basic picture frame. I was going for a Juicy Couture inspired look. Did it work?
This is a door hanger (if you couldn't gather that). Can you tell my kiddo is a diva? ;)
These are little stand up signs, I painted both sides of them so she could change it up if she wanted to.
This is probably my favorite! It's very Cinderella like! This picture doesn't do it justice, haha. Again, I got the wood at Michael's, again, IT WAS ON SALE! I also got the pearl stickers at Michael's.
I found these frames at the dollar store. They came pre-made with really ugly pictures of flowers in them. I just tore out those pictures and replaced them with our letters, painted the frames black, and added a little glitter paint :)
I love this picture frame! I was going for something kind of Betsey Johnson. I got the frame at the dollar store and I painted over it and added a few 3-D flower stickers. I'm pretty sure I hot glued some of them to make sure they would stay.
This is Brittany's pin box, or badge box. I bought the box and the little circle mirrors all at Michael's. The little mirrors can easily dress up any craft and they're a fun way to make things look a little fancier.
Finally, this is her letter :) The background is just scrapbook paper. I traced the B onto the paper and used glitter Mod Podge to put it on. I added some ribbon and a few stickers to make it a little more exciting!

The title speaks for its self ^^^
My sorority does this thing with our new members where they take big rocks and decorate them for active members and we use them to hold our doors open and what not. I just use them as decorations because they're so freaking cute! So two girls decorated rocks for me :)
You don't need to be in a sorority to do this (obviously). I just Wanted to put the idea out there that you CAN use rocks as decorations, you just need to get creative :) They look good on desks, or you can use them to hold your books up on your shelf!

So I finally figured out what to write about! And that is just... things that are kind of cool that I would like to share with others. And by others, I mean really just anyone who stumbles across this blog. I guess... Well I mean I sort of got the idea because I live in a dorm and I've realized how unrealistic blogs are about dorm decorating. A lot of them are like, "Paint the walls! Light a candle! Hang things from the walls with nails! Use wallpaper! La-di-da I've obviously never lived in a dorm!" And having lived in two very small dorms with roommates, suite-mates, communal bathrooms, and all that other super cool stuff, I feel qualified to give a few tips. Oh! Also, I'm in a sorority. It's cool though, it's not like what you see in the movies that go straight to DVD or ABC Family. Anyways, we do a lot of crafting and fun junk like that (you know, "big-little," "mom-kiddo," whatever you do) and I will be crafting a LOT in the next few weeks so... get excited. I never really find cool crafts online, but maybe I'm bad at Google searching things.
